Submit Your Research

The Journal of Politics & Society is an interdisciplinary journal of undergraduate scholarship in the social sciences, published by the Helvidius Group of Columbia University.  Founded in 1989, the Journal provides a forum for young scholars to contribute to the global dialogue on a diverse range of issues, including problems of politics, economics, public policy, social phenomena, international relations, and law.

The Editorial Board of the Helvidius Group is seeking submissions of scholarly research from undergraduates in colleges and universities around the world. In addition, the Journal of Politics & Society will award a prize to the author of the article judged most worthy by the Editorial Board in conjunction with faculty at Columbia University.

Successful submissions cover a wide variety of subjects, but share the qualities of original scholarship, cogent argumentation, and thorough research. The best way to get a sense of what the Journal publishes is to read the “For Authors” page, as well as previous editions of the Journal.

We are now accepting submissions for the Fall 2020 Journal. The deadline will be January 1st, 2020. Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, we are unable to notify authors whose papers were not selected.

By submitting your work through this form you acknowledge that the Helvidius Group may review your piece despite not selecting it for publication in the print edition and hereby give permission to the Journal to publish such a review in our Research Summaries section.**

  1. An outstanding share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a
friend who had been doing a little research on this. And he in fact ordered
me breakfast because I found it for him… lol. So let me reword
this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending
the time to talk about this issue here on your web site.

  2. To whom it may concern,

My name is Ladin Bacakoglu. I am an undergraduate at Syracuse University. I would like to publish my thesis, which is about migration.

I was wondering if you still accept papers.

I would appreciate if you can inform me. Thank you for your attention!
