The Helvidius Group - Journal of Politics & Society
Columbia University's Journal of Politics & Society

Support

The Helvidius Group is grateful for the generous support of individuals and organizations, without whose contributions the Journal of Politics & Society could not be published. About 60 percent of the Group's operating budget is provided by the Activities Board at Columbia; the remainder is attained through sales and subscription revenue, donations, and advertisements. While the board is strictly unsalaried, operating expenses include printing, mailing, and promotional costs.

There are three ways to support the Helvidius Group: purchasing a subscription, advertising in the Journal, and making a donation. Current details, pricing, and contact information are available in the Journal's media kit.

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are available in one or two-year increments and will keep you abreast of the best in undergraduate scholarship in the social sciences. Gift subscriptions are available.

Advertisements

Advertising in the Journal of Politics & Society is an excellent way to gain recognition in the young academic community, as well as with a larger audience of intellectuals, policy-makers, and anyone with an interest in international affairs. The deadline to submit advertisements for the 2009 edition will be in late March 2009.

Additionally, the Journal accepts exchange advertisements with other related publications. If you represent a periodical in the social sciences, please contact the Helvidius Group to discuss the possibility of an advertisement exchange.

Donations

The Helvidius Group is a subsidiary of Columbia University, a section 501(c)(3) not for profit organization. Donations may therefore be tax-deductible, but you should consult a qualified tax adviser for the tax status of donations. The Helvidius Group accepts donations from individuals and groups in any amount. All contributors will receive a complimentary copy of the Journal, and contributors of at least fifty dollars will be listed prominently in the next edition of the Journal.
